I've been working on a series of water splashes in oil with a view to trying out new ideas for exhibitions later in the year. It's been very freeing painting loosely with the knife with a limited palette and lots of medium to keep the paint moving in order to create abstract moving water. The result actually looks very realistic from a distance...who knew!!
It does make for a very messy studio however
I've uploaded the studies to the website and some are also for sale at the gallery shop in Carrick on Suir. Call into Tudor Artisan Hub on Main Street to see them.
